Thursday Swim and Cookout at Golden Gardens
What a scorcher! Tomorrow is going to be sunny and HOT! Luckily, I know how to cool down and convert all that excess summer heat from nuisance into a relief! Swim with the club tomorrow at Golden Gardens’ North Beach in the early afternoon. Nordic Joe’s aiming to get there around 1:00 pm. So far, there’s going to be three of us, and more are welcome to join in the fun. Afterwords we will do some cooking on the beach. Burgers, beer and blue limbs unite for an afternoon of fun in the surf and sun.

Joe, I think it would be interesting to hear about the gear you need. I have a 7 mil wet suit and have to wear quite a bit of weight , including ankle weights, or I float really high. I have a hard time getting my head out of the water without the ankle weights. Any other helpful suggestions? Lessons learned?

Persinally, i like a 5 mil one-piece suit. I still float fairly high, but its a LOT better than the 7 mil two-piecers. My wife likes her 7 mil one piece that she got from liquid fit. Ill have some pics for you to see soon.
Ill alsi share my gear list, but i thik theres a post online with the seattle snorkel club gear checklist that does a good job of sumarizing it.
